This field is very competative and its is tough to be original. The solution is find your own unique style in everything you do.
What advice would you give to anyone starting off in this field?
The best advice that I can give is to always keep learning. Don’t worry about having a unique style, your style will come naturally with time. It’s also important to remember that you are designing for a target audience, not other designers.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I see I learn, I hear I learn, I touch I learn and then it is this learning that manifests itself in my designs.
Who has been your inspiration in this field?
My inspiration has been my mother who is an artist and a creative spirit.
All artists have a muse who gets them through those ‘blank page days’, what’s your muse?
Music always tunes me in, especially listening to Indian semi- classical and sufi music.
What else keeps you busy besides designing?
I have a deep passion for baking and photography and also love listening to music.
